- 1/2 cup popcorn kernels,
- Salt to taste.
- Place the popcorn kernels in one layer on the bottom of a deep pot and close with the lid (a glass lid is recommended),
- Turn on stove on medium heat,
- Wait them to pop,
- At the beginning the popcorn will pop vigorously. When there is an interval of a second or two between the pop sounds this is the time to turn the stove off,
- Wait 3 seconds before opening the lid,
- Sprinkle salt as soon as you open the lid and move it to your desired bowl.
