Borani With Ground Beef Recipe Borani With Ground Beef Recipe

Ingredients:

For Ground Beef Sauce;

  • 200 gr fatless ground beef,
  • 1onion,
  • 1 green pepper,
  • 1 tomato,
  • 1 clove of garlic,
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste,
  • 2 tsbs ground red pepper,
  • 1/2 cup hot water,
  • Salt, pepper and cumin to taste,
  • 3-4 tbsps vegetable oil.

For Vegetable Fries;

  • 3 potatoes,
  • 3 eggplant,
  • 3 zucchinis,
  • 2-3 green peppers,
  • 2 red peppers,
  • Oil,
  • Salt.

For Yogurt Sauce;

  • 2 cups plain yogurt,
  • 1/4 cup water,
  • 2 cloves of garlic,
  • Salt.

Preparation:

  1. Cut the potatoes, eggplants and zucchinis into cubes,
  2. Cut the peppers into squares,
  3. Heat oil in a large frying pan with high sides,
  4. Fry the potatoes then remove and drain on a sieve,
  5. Now fry the zucchinis with the same oil,
  6. Place the potatoes in the sieve in a large bowl and season with salt,
  7. Then remove the zucchini from the oil and drain on the same sieve,
  8. Now mix the zucchini with the potato,
  9. Fry the eggplants and peppers the same way, drain and add to other vegetables,
  10. For ground beef sauce chop onion, green pepper and garlic clove and fry with vegetable oil,
  11. Add ground beef and cook until it changes color,
  12. Add tomato paste and ground red pepper and stir until it smells well,
  13. Add diced tomatoes and cook for 5 mins.,
  14. Add water and cook for 5 minutes,
  15. Add salt, cumin and black pepper, stir and remove from heat,
  16. For yogurt sauce combine yogurt, minced garlic, water and salt together and mix well,
  17. Serve minced meat sauce over yogurt sauce over fried vegetables.
