Borani With Ground Beef Recipe

Serving : 4 Servings

Ingredients

For Ground Beef Sauce;

  • 200 g lean ground beef,
  • 1 onion,
  • 1 tomato,
  • 1 clove of garlic,
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste,
  • 1 tsp paprika,
  • 1/2 cup hot water,
  • Salt, pepper and cumin to taste,
  • 3-4 tbsps vegetable oil.

For Vegetable Fries;

  • 3 potatoes,
  • 3 eggplant,
  • 3 zucchinis,
  • 2-3 green peppers,
  • 2 red peppers,
  • Oil for frying,
  • Salt.

For Yogurt Sauce;

  • 2 cups plain yogurt,
  • 2 cloves of garlic,
  • Salt.

Preparation

  1. For ground beef sauce chop onion and garlic clove and stir fry with olive oil,
  2. Add ground beef and cook until it changes color,
  3. Add tomato paste and paprika and stir until it smells well,
  4. Add diced tomatoes and cook for 5 mins.,
  5. Add water and cook for 5 minutes,
  6. Add salt, cumin and black pepper, stir and remove from heat,
  7. Cut the potatoes, eggplants and zucchinis into cubes,
  8. Cut the peppers into squares,
  9. Heat oil in a large frying pan with high sides,
  10. Fry the potatoes then remove and drain on a sieve,
  11. Now fry the zucchinis with the same oil,
  12. Place the potatoes in the sieve in a large bowl and season with salt,
  13. Then remove the zucchini from the oil and drain on the same sieve,
  14. Now mix the zucchini with the potato,
  15. Fry the eggplants and peppers the same way, drain and add to other vegetables,
  16. For yogurt sauce combine yogurt, minced garlic and salt together and mix well,
  17. Serve minced meat sauce over yogurt sauce over fried vegetables.
