Borani With Ground Beef Recipe
Serving : 4 Servings
Ingredients
For Ground Beef Sauce;
- 200 g lean ground beef,
- 1 onion,
- 1 tomato,
- 1 clove of garlic,
- 1 tbsp tomato paste,
- 1 tsp paprika,
- 1/2 cup hot water,
- Salt, pepper and cumin to taste,
- 3-4 tbsps vegetable oil.
For Vegetable Fries;
- 3 potatoes,
- 3 eggplant,
- 3 zucchinis,
- 2-3 green peppers,
- 2 red peppers,
- Oil for frying,
- Salt.
For Yogurt Sauce;
- 2 cups plain yogurt,
- 2 cloves of garlic,
- Salt.
Preparation
- For ground beef sauce chop onion and garlic clove and stir fry with olive oil,
- Add ground beef and cook until it changes color,
- Add tomato paste and paprika and stir until it smells well,
- Add diced tomatoes and cook for 5 mins.,
- Add water and cook for 5 minutes,
- Add salt, cumin and black pepper, stir and remove from heat,
- Cut the potatoes, eggplants and zucchinis into cubes,
- Cut the peppers into squares,
- Heat oil in a large frying pan with high sides,
- Fry the potatoes then remove and drain on a sieve,
- Now fry the zucchinis with the same oil,
- Place the potatoes in the sieve in a large bowl and season with salt,
- Then remove the zucchini from the oil and drain on the same sieve,
- Now mix the zucchini with the potato,
- Fry the eggplants and peppers the same way, drain and add to other vegetables,
- For yogurt sauce combine yogurt, minced garlic and salt together and mix well,
- Serve minced meat sauce over yogurt sauce over fried vegetables.
