Green Beans With Olive Oil Recipe

Ingredients

  • 500 g green beans,
  • 1 onion,
  • 2 tomatoes, peeled and diced,
  • 1/4 cup olive oil,
  • 2 tsps salt,
  • 2 tsps sugar,
  • 3 cups hot water.

Preparation

  1. Remove the woody stems of the green beans,
  2. Halve green beans vertically,
  3. Chop the onion,
  4. In a skillet heat olive oil and add  onions,
  5. Cook for 2-3 mins,
  6. Add green beans and diced tomatoes and cover the lid,
  7. Cook in low heat until green beans change their colour,
  8. Add salt, sugar and water and cover lid,
  9. Cook until the beans are tender,
  10. Serve cold.
