Patates Oturtma Recipe
Serving : 4 Servings
Ingredients
- 5 mid-sized potatoes,
- 250 g ground beef,
- 1 onion, chopped,
- 2 green peppers, chopped,
- 2 tomatoes,
- 1 tbsp tomato paste,
- 4-5 tbsp vegetable oil,
- 1/2 tsp cumin,
- 1/2 tsp black pepper,
- 1 tsp ground sweet pepper,
- 2.5 cups boiling water,
- Salt to taste,
- Extra oil for brushing baking dish and potatoes.
Preparation
- Peel and cut the potatoes in circles,
- Brush a 22*22 cm baking dish with vegetable oil,
- Place the potato slices into the dish,
- Brush tops with vegetable oil again,
- Bake at 190 C degrees until golden,
- Heat 4-5 tbsps vegetable oil in large frying pan,
- Sauté onions and green peppers in oil until tender over medium heat,
- Add ground beef and sauté until no longer pink,
- Add diced tomatoes and cook until tender,
- Add cumin, salt and pepper, stir,
- Add water, stir and remove from heat,
- Remove the potatoes from oven and spread ground meat mixture on top,
- Bake at 190 C degrees for another 15-20 mins.
