Long Beans With Olive Oil

 

Serving : 4 Servings

Ingredients

  • 500 g long beans,
  • 1 onion, chopped,
  • 2 tomatoes, peeled and diced,
  • 1 tsp salt,
  • 1 tsp sugar,
  • 1 tsp flour,
  • 1 cup boiling water,
  • 5-6 tbsps olive oil,
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon.

Preparation

  1. Remove the woody stems of the green beans and cut into halves,
  2. In a skillet heat olive oil and add  onions and tomatoes on top,
  3. Add long beans,
  4. Cover the lid and cook for 10 min.,
  5. In a bowl mix  water, sugar, flour, salt and lemon juice,
  6. Add the mixture to the beans,
  7. Cover the lid and cook in low heat until the beans are tender,
  8. Serve cold.
