Cocoa Pound Cake Recipe

Serving : 6-8 Servings

Ingredients

For the cake;

  • 3 eggs,
  • 1 cup granulated sugar,
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil,
  • 200 ml sparkling mineral water,
  • 2,5 cups flour,
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder,
  • 25 gr. vanilla powder,
  • 25 gr. baking powder,

To top;

  • 80 gr. chocolate,
  • 2 teaspoons butter,
  • 3 tablespoons milk.

Preparation

  1. Beat the eggs,
  2. Whisk in the sugar and vegetable oil,
  3. Add the sparkling water and stir,
  4. Whisk in the flour, cocoa, baking powder and vanilla powder until you get a smooth batter,
  5. Pour into a greased springform pan,
  6. Bake at 190 degrees celsius for 35-40 mins,
  7. Remove from the oven and invert over a cake platter,
  8. In a saucepan, heat together the chopped chocolate, butter and milk over low heat while stirring, until everything is well combined,
  9. Spread the sauce over the cake using a tablespoon,
  10. Decorate with ground pistachios and serve.
