Cocoa Pound Cake Recipe
Serving : 6-8 Servings
Ingredients
For the cake;
- 3 eggs,
- 1 cup granulated sugar,
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil,
- 200 ml sparkling mineral water,
- 2,5 cups flour,
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder,
- 25 gr. vanilla powder,
- 25 gr. baking powder,
To top;
- 80 gr. chocolate,
- 2 teaspoons butter,
- 3 tablespoons milk.
Preparation
- Beat the eggs,
- Whisk in the sugar and vegetable oil,
- Add the sparkling water and stir,
- Whisk in the flour, cocoa, baking powder and vanilla powder until you get a smooth batter,
- Pour into a greased springform pan,
- Bake at 190 degrees celsius for 35-40 mins,
- Remove from the oven and invert over a cake platter,
- In a saucepan, heat together the chopped chocolate, butter and milk over low heat while stirring, until everything is well combined,
- Spread the sauce over the cake using a tablespoon,
- Decorate with ground pistachios and serve.
