Chocolate Bride's Cake Recipe
Ingredients
For the cake;
- 4 eggs (whites and yolks are seperated),
- 1/2 cup sugar,
- 1 cup flour,
- 1 heaping tbsp of cocoa powder.
For syrup;
- 3 cups milk,
- 1/2 cup sugar,
- 10 g vanilin sugar.
For pudding;
- 4 cups milk,
- 2 heaping spoon of flour,
- 2 heaping spoon of starch,
- 1/2 cup sugar,
- 1 egg,
- 2 heeaping tbsps of cocoa powder,
- 1 tbsp butter,
- 20 g chocolate.
For chocolate glaze;
- 100 ml heavy cream,
- 60 g chocolatte.
Preparation
- For the cake beat egg whites until stiff peaks,
- Add sugar and beat for a few mins. more,
- In a different bowl beat egg yolks until creamy,
- Add egg yolks to egg whites and fold togehter,
- Combine flour and cocoa powder and sift into the mixture step by step and fold in together,
- Pour the batter into a 23*30 cm baking dish and bake in a 170 C degrees pre-heated oven until golden,
- Remove from oven and set aside until cool,
- For the syrup mix milk, sugar and vanilin sugar together,
- Pour the syrup over the cake,
- For pudding mix all ingredients, except butter and chocolate, together,
- Cook, constantly stirring until set,
- Add butter and chocolate and cook until melts,
- Pour the pudding over the cake,
- For chocolate glaze heat the heavy cream in a sauce pan,
- Add into the chocolate and stir until melts,
- Pour the glaze over the pudding,
- Set aside in the fridge for 3 hours before serving.
