Cake Lokums Recipe
Serving : 6-8 Servings
Ingredients
- 4 eggs,
- 1,5 cups granulated sugar,
- 1,5 cups milk,
- 1 cup vegetable oil,
- 1-1,5 cups flour,
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract,
- 25 gr. cocoa powder,
- 2 teaspoons baking powder,
- 1 cups finely ground walnuts,
- 1-1,5 cups unsweetened shredded coconut.
Preparation
- Whisk together the sugar, milk and cocoa in a large bowl,
- Set 1 cup of this mixture aside,
- Add in the oil into the rest and whisk,
- Beat the eggs one by one into the mixture,
- Whisk in the flour, baking powder and vanilla extract,
- Stir in the walnuts,
- Pour the batter into a small greased rectangular baking dish and bake at 180 degrees celsius preheated oven,
- Remove from the oven and let it cool down for 15 mins,
- Cut the cake into small cubes,
- Pour over the sauce you set aside evenly using a small spoon,
- Cover with plastic wrap,
- Let it rest for 2 hours to soak up the sauce, then remove the cubes from the dish and coat with coconut flakes.
