Cauliflower Stew in Tomato Sauce Recipe
Serving : 4 Servings
Ingredients
- 1/2 head medium cauliflower,
- 1 medium carrot,
- 1 onion,
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste,
- 2 teaspoons paprika,
- 1 tablespoon flour,
- 1 tablespoon butter,
- 2 tablespoons olive oil,
- Salt,
- Water,
- Parsley.
Preparation
- Break the cauliflower into florets and submerge in water with 3-5 drops of lemon juice,
- Heat the butter and oil in a pan,
- Finely chop the onion,
- Slice the carrots,
- Add the onions and carrots into the pan and cook until soft,
- Add the tomato paste and stir for 1 min,
- Add the paprika and flour and stir for 1-2 mins,
- Drain the cauliflower florets and add to the pan,
- Put enough water to submerge and boil until the cauliflower and carrots are softened and fully cooked,
- Add salt, stir and remove from heat,
- Add freshly chopped parsley (optional).
