Savory Black Cumin Cookies
Serving : 30-35 Pieces
Ingredients
- 2 eggs,
- 250 gr melted butter,
- 3 tablespoons yoghurt,
- 6 cups all purpose flour,
- 3 teaspoons salt,
- 2 teaspoons baking powder,
- 1 handful minced dill,
- Black cumin seeds to coat.
Preparation
- Stir together 5 cups of flour, salt and baking powder in a large bowl,
- Add in the yoghurt, 1 egg and 1 egg white (seperate the yolk for topping),
- Pour in the melted butter and stir using a spatula,
- Mix everything together until you get a homogenous mixture,
- Stir in the minced dill,
- Finally add in the final 1 cup of flour slowly while mixing with your hands until everything comes together to form a dough (you may not need all the flour),
- Divide the dough into two pieces,
- Form each piece into a 5 cm cylindrical log,
- Brush with egg yolk and coat the sides with black cumin seeds,
- Cut into 1 cm slices and place on a baking sheet cut side down,
- Bake at 200 degrees celsius oven until golden.
