Sour Kofta Soup With Yoghurt Recipe

Home / Main Dishes / Main Dish Recipes / Sour Kofta Soup With Yoghurt Recipe

A very suitable recipe for summer evenings is meatballs with yogurt and sour. I find dishes like this one that serve soup and main course or main course or rice/pasta at the same time very practical and therefore I love it. It is known that being hot in the summer makes it difficult to spend a long time in the kitchen. I want to finish my work as soon as possible and throw myself in a cool place. That's why I'm leaning towards easy-to-make delicious recipes such as sour and juicy meatballs.

A side salad and melon watermelon is enough for a family meal. If you are planning to make it for your guests, you can start with a hot starter such as tomato hash and green beans with olive oil and serve the juicy meatballs as a soup plus a main course. But it's good to keep the portions small. As it is known, people cannot eat much because of the hot weather. Since sour meatballs are also a very satisfying dish, insisting on large portions will only serve to torture your guests.

I make this recipe with only carrots and potatoes, unlike the turkish kofte stew, but you can add other vegetables you like next to the vegetables I use. Peas would also be very suitable, for example. In winter, you can easily use cauliflower and broccoli.

Serving : 4-6 Servings

Ingredients

  • 2 mid-sized potatoes,
  • 1 red pepper,
  • 1 green pepper,
  • 1 yellow pepper,
  • 1 tbsp of butter,
  • 2 full tbsps of plain yoghurt,
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon,
  • Salt to taste,
  • 1/2 tsp of ground black pepper,
  • 1/2 cup of chopped dill,
  • 5-6 cups of hot water.

For Kofta:

  • 300 g of ground beef / lamb,
  • 1 onion, grated,
  • 2 tablespoons of bread crumbs,
  • 1/2 cup of chopped parsley,
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper,
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin,
  • 1/4 tbsp rice,
