Walnuts Filled Kadayıf Recipe with Video

Ingredients
- 250 g fresh kadaif,
- 100 g butter, melted,
- 1 cup walnuts,
For Syrup;
- 1.5 cup sugar,
- 2 cup water,
- 1/2 slice lemon.
Preparation
- Shred half of the kadayıf into a 26 cm baking pan,
- Press with your palm strongly,
- Spread half of the butter with a spoon evenly, press again,
- Pour the walnuts on top, press,
- Shred and spread the remaining kadayıf, press,
- Spread the remaining butter, press,
- Cut it in 8 triangles,
- Bake in a 170 C degrees pre-heated oven until golden on top (around 1 hour),
- Set aside to cool,
- For syrup combine sugar, water and slice of lemon in a sauce pan,
- Cook, constantly stirring until it starts to boil,
- Then cook for 15-20 mins. (you don't need to stir),
- Remove from heat and set aside for 2-3 mins.,
- Pour the hot syrup over cold kadayıf,
- You can serve after it absorbs the syrup.
