Walnuts Filled Kadaif Recipe

Walnuts Filled Kadaif Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 250 g fresh kadaif,
  • 100 g butter, melted,
  • 1 cup walnuts,

For Syrup;

  • 1,5 cup sugar,
  • 2 cup water,
  • 1/2 slice lemon.

Preparation:

  1. Shred half of the kadaif into a 26 cm baking pan,
  2. Press with your palm strongly,
  3. Spread half of the butter with a spoon evenly, press again,
  4. Pour the walnuts on top, press,
  5. Shred and spread the ramaining kadaif, press,
  6. Spread the remaining butter, press,
  7. Bake in a 170 C degrees pre-heated oven until golden on top (around 1 hour),
  8. Set aside to cool,
  9. For syrup combine sugar, water and slice of lemon in a sauce pan,
  10. Cook, constantly stirring until it satrts to boil,
  11. Then cook for 15-20 mins. (you don’t need to stir),
  12. Remove from heat and set aside for 2-3 mins.,
  13. Pour the hot syrup over cold kadaif,
  14. You can serve after it absorbs the syrup.
