Sauteed Mushrooms Recipe
Serving : 4 servings
Ingredients
- 600 g button mushrooms, cleaned and chopped,
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 green peppers, chopped,
- 1 tbsp tomato paste,
- 1/4 tbsp paprika,
- 1 cup tomato puree,
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil,
- Salt to taste.
Preparation
- In a skillet heat vegetable oil,
- Add onions and cook until translucent,
- Add green peppers and sautee for 3-4 mins,
- Add tomato paste and cook for another 2 mins,
- Add paprika and stir,
- Add mushrooms and cook until they loosen and then soak their water back,
- Add tomato puree and salt,
- Cover and cook until mushrooms are tender.

- Kevser: The dish takes its flavor from the mushroom. If the mushrooms you used were bland, it's a natural result. For the next time keep in mind that you can add spices in these types of unfortunate cases. March 17, 2023 6:51 pm
- James: I really enjoyed this recipe, it was simple and tasty. I agree that the quality of the mushrooms give flavor to the recipe. I used 550g of large portabello mushrooms, and I also always add a small amount of soy sauce to any mushrooms I cook to accentuate their savory flavor. I also used some smoked and lightly pickled peppers I had instead of fresh green ones and I garnished with a bit of parsley. It came out great and was a good use of ingredients. March 7, 2024 8:44 pm
