Green Lentil Soup With Mushrooms

Serving : 4 Servings

Ingredients

  • 400 g mushrooms, chopped,
  • 1 cup green lentils, washed and drained,
  • 4 tbsps olive oil,
  • 1 cup milk,
  • 1 tbsp flour,
  • Salt to tate,
  • 1/4 tsp pepper,
  • 1/4 tsp grated nutmegs,
  • 5 cups boiling water.

Preparation

  1. Wash and drain the lentil,
  2. Take into a sauce pan,
  3. Add into water to pass over it,
  4. Cover the lid and simmer until half tender,
  5. Meanwhile heat olive oil in a deep pan,
  6. Add into mushrooms and saute until they dissolve their juice first and then the juice evaporates,
  7. Add flour and stir,
  8. Add into the green lentils and stir,
  9. Add into the water, stir and cover the lid,
  10. Cook in low heat until the lentils are tender,
  11. Add into the milk and stir fast,
  12. Boil for a few mins more,
  13. Add salt, pepper and nutmeg, stir and remove from heat.
