Layered Pastry With Cheese Filling Recipe
Serving : 15-20 Pieces
Ingredients
- 100 gr. butter,
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil,
- 1 cup yoghurt (at room temperature),
- 2 eggs (room temperature),
- 40 gr. rapid-rise yeast,
- 5 cups flour,
- Crumbled feta cheese.
Preparation
- Melt the butter,
- Whisk together the melted butter, vegetable oil, yoghurt and eggs in a bowl,
- In a separate large bowl mix flour, salt and yeast,
- Start adding the wet mixture into the flour mixture while mixing with your hands,
- Knead until everything comes together to form a non-sticky dough,
- Cover the dough and let it rest for 30-40 mins,
- Divide the dough into three,
- Roll each piece out into a rectangle,
- Evenly sprinkle on crumbled feta,
- Roll starting from the longer side,
- Then cut the rolls horizontally into two,
- Cut each piece into 2 cm slices,
- Place open side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper,
- Bake at 210 degrees celsius preheated oven until golden brown.
