Cheese Pastry Rolls Recipe
Serving : 20-25 Pieces
Ingredients
- 2 eggs (1 egg yolk will be brushed on top)
- 125 gr. butter,
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil,
- 1 cup milk,
- 50 gr. rapid-rise yeast,
- 1.5 tablespoons sugar,
- 3 teaspoons salt,
- All purpose flour,
- Crumbled feta cheese,
Preparation
- Melt the butter,
- Add the vegetable oil and milk, then stir,
- In a large bowl, stir together 5 cups of flour, yeast, salt and sugar,
- Make a cavity in the centre,
- Add 1 egg and 1 egg yolk into the cavity and start stirring,
- Start adding the oil/mix mixture into it and continue mixing with your hands,
- Add more flour if you need it and knead until everything comes together to form a non-sticky dough,
- Cover the dough with kitchen towel and let it rest somewhere warm until it doubles in volume,
- Pull orange size pieces from the dough and roll each piece out to 2 mm thick circles,
- Cut each circle to get 8 equal size triangles,
- Put some cheese on the wide side each triangle and roll,
- Place the prepared rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper,
- Brush with egg yolk and bake at 210 degrees celsius until golden brown.
