Ingredients

  • 2 yufkas,
  • 250 gr crumbled feta cheese or cottage cheese,
  • 1 cup parsley, chopped,
  • 1 cup vegetable oil,
  • 1 egg yolk,
  • 1/4 cup sesame seed.

Preparation

  1. In a bowl mix cheese and pasley,
  2. Place yufkas on top of each other and cut them in half,
  3. Then again cut the 2 pieces crosswise from the corners and form 4 pieces,
  4. Then again cut the 4 pieces crosswise from the corners,
  5. Then again cut the 4 pieces crosswise from the corners and get 8 pieces of each yufka (16 pieaces total),
  6. Brush top of all pieces with vegetable oil,
  7. Place 1 tbsp of filling on wide side,
  8. Fold the ends from the outside to the inside, then roll it up,
  9. Put boreks in a zip lock bag and freeze,
  10. When you decided to bake them place a parchement paper on a cooking sheet,
  11. Place boreks on parchement paper,
  12. Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle sesame seed,
  13. Bake in a 190 C degrees preheated oven until golden.

    • Kevser: Yufka is the Turkish version of phyllo. If you cannot find yufka (please check if you can buy online in your country), you can use phyllo. You can also use google images to see what it is, if it still does not mean anything to you. July 6, 2014 9:30 pm
