Chocolate Hazelnut Biscotti Recipe

Serving : 20 Pieces

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs,
  • 100 g butter,
  • 1 cup sugar,
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder,
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder,
  • Grated peels of half and orange,
  • 1 cup of hazelnuts,
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips,
  • 2 cups flour.

Preparation

  1. Whisk eggs, butter and sugar in a deep bowl,
  2. Add cocoa powder, baking powder and orange peel and mix,
  3. Add flour gradually and knead,
  4. Add into the hazelnuts and chocolate chips and knead,
  5. Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and form a long rectangular shape,
  6. Bake at 190 degrees celsius preheated oven until the top cracks,
  7. Remove from the oven and using a serrated knife, slice the log on a sharp diagonal into about 3/4 inch thick slices,
  8. Arrange the slices on the baking sheet, laying cut side down,
  9. Bake at 170 degrees celsius for 15-20 mins more.
