Mushroom Shaped Cookies Recipe
Mushroom shaped cookies were one of the most requested recipes from me. I've said it before, probably because I don't care much about the shape of what I eat, I don't have a special enthusiasm and effort to make recipes that take their name from their shape. Frankly, I only do it for you when there is a request. I mean, this cookie is in the shape of a mushroom, it doesn't matter if you roll it flat, it's delicious, I think it's enough to have the people I love with me. This is the reason why such a famous recipe hasn't been on this blog for 8 years.
It may not mean anything to you, but it tastes just like the flour cookies my mom made when I was little. It's a very strange feeling to taste the flavors of childhood again. It's probably happened to you before. As the taste begins to spread in your mouth, the ground recedes from under your feet, the surrounding landscape changes, and you suddenly return to your childhood. Every time I eat this cookie, I want to go and share the second one with my cats. Let me confess that when I was little, I asked my mother for too much food and shared half of it with my cats, but don't tell my mother:) When I grew up, I learned that sweets can be harmful for cats and dogs. Anyway, my cats have never had cat taste. From cucumbers to watermelons, they ate a wide variety of things that are considered cat-proof. Those who have cats should hug their cats for me, please, I want to hug a lot of cats right now.
I will make 3 basic reminders about cookies;
At room temperature, butter is soft, butter that your finger gets into when you touch it.
The amount of flour in all pastries can always vary. For this reason, just because the recipe says 3 glasses of flour, it is not possible to pour all of the flour at once. It is added little by little and kneaded at the same time and its consistency is checked. If your dough is full with 2 glasses of flour, there is no point in adding extra flour by forcing it to comply with the recipe. Similarly, if your dough is still sticky to the hand with 3 glasses of flour, it is not weeping because it does not take shape, flour is added.
The cooking times given in the recipes are determined according to the material used by the person giving the recipe, the size they are shaping, the oven they use, etc. Since it is not possible to make the same materials and the same conditions exactly, the cooking time will probably change for you. Do not set the clock and leave the oven alone. Be close, check often. If it has transitioned from being cooked to burning, don't stand in front of it and watch it burn just because the recipe has given a certain amount of time. Remove from oven when done. On the contrary, even if it is not cooked in the given time, do not take it out of the oven raw
These warnings apply not only to this recipe, but also to all pastries that come to mind or not.
