Meatballs With Tomato Sauce And Melted Cheese

Serving : 4 Servings

Ingredients

For meatballs;

  • 400 gr. ground beef or lamb,
  • 1 onion, grated,
  • 1 egg,
  • 1 handful of chopped parsley,
  • 3 tablespoons of bread crumbs,
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper,
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin,
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt.

For tomato sauce;

  • 5 tomatoes, grated,
  • 1 onion, grates,
  • 1 clove of crushed garlic, chopped,
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste,
  • 1 tsp paprika,
  • Salt to taste,
  • 1 cup water,
  • 4 tbsps olive oil.

For topping;

  • 1 cup grated parmesan.

Preparation

  1. Take all the meatball ingredients in a large bowl and mix well,
  2. Form small balls,
  3. Grease a baking dish and place meatballs,
  4. Bake at 180 C degrees until the meatballs are cooked,
  5. For the sauce heat oil and add onion and garlic and stir fry,
  6. Add tomato paste and paprika and cook for another 3 mins.,
  7. Add grated tomato and water and boil for 5 mins. at low heat,
  8. Add the salt and remove from heat,
  9. Pour the tomato sauce over the meatballs,
  10. Top with parmesan cheese and bake again until the cheese melts.
