Meatballs With Tomato Sauce And Melted Cheese
Serving : 4 Servings
Ingredients
For meatballs;
- 400 gr. ground beef or lamb,
- 1 onion, grated,
- 1 egg,
- 1 handful of chopped parsley,
- 3 tablespoons of bread crumbs,
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper,
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin,
- 1/2 teaspoon salt.
For tomato sauce;
- 5 tomatoes, grated,
- 1 onion, grates,
- 1 clove of crushed garlic, chopped,
- 1 tbsp tomato paste,
- 1 tsp paprika,
- Salt to taste,
- 1 cup water,
- 4 tbsps olive oil.
For topping;
- 1 cup grated parmesan.
Preparation
- Take all the meatball ingredients in a large bowl and mix well,
- Form small balls,
- Grease a baking dish and place meatballs,
- Bake at 180 C degrees until the meatballs are cooked,
- For the sauce heat oil and add onion and garlic and stir fry,
- Add tomato paste and paprika and cook for another 3 mins.,
- Add grated tomato and water and boil for 5 mins. at low heat,
- Add the salt and remove from heat,
- Pour the tomato sauce over the meatballs,
- Top with parmesan cheese and bake again until the cheese melts.
