Whole Wheat Flour Sandwich Bread Recipe
Serving : 4 Breads
Ingredients
- 4 cups whole wheat flour,
- 1,5 cup lukewarm milk,
- 10 g instant yeast,
- 2 tsps sugar,
- 1 tsp salt,
- 2 tbsps milk for brushing.
Preparation
- Pour the flour into deep bowl and make a hole in the middle,
- Pour 1 cup of the milk into the hole,
- Add sugar and yeast to the milk and mix with your finger,
- Start kneading the dough,
- Add salt and remaining milk and keep kneading until you reach a soft and elastic dough (add flour if you need),
- Make a ball of the dough and cover the bowl with a plastic wrap,
- Set aside until it doubles (for 45 min.-1 hour),
- Knead the dough again and make sandwiches of any size and shape of your desire,
- Place the sandwiches into a baking sheet covered with parchement paper,
- Set aside for 30 mins.,
- Brush the sandwiches with milk,
- Bake in a 170 C degrees pre-heated oven until golden on top,
- Remove from oven and cover with a towel until they come at room temperature.
