  • 250 g medium fat ground meat,
  • 1 small egg,
  • 1 onion,
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs,
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley,
  • A pinch of black pepper and cumin,
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste,
  • 1/2 tsp ground chilli,
  • 2 potatoes, chopped,
  • 2 carrots, chopped,
  • 1 water glass canned peas,
  • Salt,
  • Vegetable oil,
  • 2-3 cups of boiling water.


  1. Cut the onion into two halves, grate one half and chop the other,
  2. For meatballs combine minced meat, egg, bread crumbs, grated onion, parsley, black pepper, cumin and salt in deep bowl and knead,
  3. Make walnut sized meatballs,
  4. In a large pan, heat vegetable oil,
  5. Add into the meatballs and fry all over, remove into a strainer,
  6. In the meantime, heat 3-4 tbsps vegetable oil in a deep
  7. Add chooped onions and roast until tender,
  8. Add the potatoes and carrots and stir,
  9. Cover the lid and cook for a few mins.,
  10. Add the tomato paste and roast until smells good,
  11. Add the ground chilli and stir,
  12. Add water and stir,
  13. Cover the pot and cook until the potatoes are softened,
  14. Add the meatballs and peas, stir, cover the lid and cook for a few mins.,
  15. Add salt, stir and remove from the heat.
