Tomato Pilaf Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice,
  • 1 tomato,
  • 1 tablespoon butter,
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium chicken broth,
  • Salt,
  • 1,5 cup hot water.

Preparation

  1. Melt the butter,
  2. Add the rinsed rice and sauté for 5 mins stirring occasionally,
  3. Add in the salt, grated tomato and chicken broth,
  4. Now add the 1.5 cups of water, stir and put the lid on,
  5. Cook on low heat until all the water is absorbed,
  6. Remove from heat, let it rest for 15 mins and serve.
