Turkey Drumstick With Pilaf Recipe
Serving : 2-4 Servings
Ingredients
- 2 turkey drumsticks,
- 1 cup rice,
- 1 onion,
- 1 tablespoon butter,
- 1 teaspoon tomato paste,
- 1 tablespoon pine nuts,
- 1 tablespoon raisins,
- 1 tablespoon minced parsley,
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon,
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper,
- 1 teaspoon allspice,
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar,
- Salt,
- 2 cups hot water.
Preparation
- Boil the drumsticks in pressure cooker until softened (approximately 1 hour),
- Finely chop the onion,
- Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the onions and cook over medium heat until translucent,
- Add the pine nuts and stir for 1-2 mins,
- Add the tomato paste and stir for 1 min,
- Add the rinsed rice and stir for 5 mins,
- Add the minced parsley, sugar, salt, raisins, spices and salt, stir well and remove from heat,
- Transfer the rice mixture into a baking dish and flatten,
- Place the drumsticks on top,
- Pour 1 ladleful of the turkey's boiling water over the rice mixture,
- Then also pour two cups of hot water,
- Bake at 180 degrees celsius until the rice absorbs all the water and is fully softened,
- Turn the heat off, and let the baking dish sit in the oven for 15 mins to rest.
