Tomato Paste Filled Heart Shaped Kofta

Ingredients
- 500 gr. ground meat,
- 1large onion,
- 1 egg,
- 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs,
- 1 teaspoon black pepper,
- 2 teaspoons cumin,
- 3 teaspoons salt,
- 2 handfuls minced parsley,
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste,
- 1/2 ground walnuts,
- Vegetable oil.
Preparation
- Place the meat in a large bowl,
- Add in the grated onion,
- Add in the egg, breadcrumbs, black pepper, cumin, salt and parsley,
- Mix everything together with your hands,
- Place the mixture in the refrigerator and let it rest for 1 hour,
- In a separate bowl, mix together the tomato paste and walnuts,
- Pull mandarin size pieces from the meat mixture,
- Press the pieces onto a heart shape cookie cutter,
- Fill with the tomato paste - walnut mixture,
- Cover with another piece of meat mixture and flatten sealing the edges,
- Fry the meatballs on both sides in hot vegetable oil.
