Sourcherry Kisir Recipe
Serving : 4 Servings
Ingredients
- 1 cup thin wheat bulgur,
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste,
- 1 tablespoon paprika,
- 2 teaspoons dried mint,
- 2 teaspoons thyme,
- 3/4 cup minced parsley,
- 1/2 cup minced dill,
- Minced green onions,
- ½ cup olive oil,
- Salt,
- 1,5 cups water,
- 1 cup pitted and halved sour cherries.
Preparation
- Place the bulgur in a pot along with salt and water,
- Cook over very low heat, until all the water is absorbed,
- Heat the oil in a saucepan,
- Add the tomato paste and stir for 2-3 mins,
- Add the paprika, stir and remove from heat,
- Add this mixture to the bulgur,
- Then add all the spices and mix everything well,
- Stir in the chopped greens,
- Finally add the cherries and stir gently without breaking the cherries.
