  • 1 cup thin wheat bulgur,
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste,
  • 1 tablespoon paprika,
  • 2 teaspoons dried mint,
  • 2 teaspoons thyme,
  • 3/4 cup minced parsley,
  • 1/2 cup minced dill,
  • Minced green onions,
  • ½ cup olive oil,
  • Salt,
  • 1,5 cups water,
  • 1 cup pitted and halved sour cherries.


  1. Place the bulgur in a pot along with salt and water,
  2. Cook over very low heat, until all the water is absorbed,
  3. Heat the oil in a saucepan,
  4. Add the tomato paste and stir for 2-3 mins,
  5. Add the paprika, stir and remove from heat,
  6. Add this mixture to the bulgur,
  7. Then add all the spices and mix everything well,
  8. Stir in the chopped greens,
  9. Finally add the cherries and stir gently without breaking the cherries.
