Olive Tapenade Recipe
Olive tapenade or olive paste is one of my favorite ingredients to use in Turkish savory pastries. For those who have not seen or tried before, I will share some very good examples, but first I would like to say a few words. For some reason, I never thought of olive tapenade as a meze or part of breakfast. It's always been a filling for me. That's why I would either buy it or prepare it simply by processing the olives with a food processor without adding anything else. Recently, when someone asked for an olive tapenade recipe, I made some thinking on olive tapenade and realized how good it is for Turkish breakfast.
It is a wonderful spread, especially for those who like to eat pancakes or pancakes, first with salty ingredients and then with sweets. While creating the olive tapenade recipe, I adjusted the ingredient balance by imagining that I was eating olive paste with pancakes. Therefore, I did not use too much garlic or spices. The smell of thyme can be felt, but the garlic only adds flavor, its smell or flavor alone is not felt or smelled. On the other hand, the sourness of the lemon makes its presence felt. As a complete acidic taste lover, this is something that fits my palate well. But if you don't like sour food, you can use the juice of a quarter of a lemon first, taste it, and then continue adding if it needs more. I don't want you to grimace because of me every time you eat it.
Now let's come to the pastries you can make with olive tapenade... The first recipe that comes to mind for me is acma pastry with olive paste. Olive tapenade goes well with the soft, stringy roll dough. If you want something crispy, the savory olive roll cookies recipe is a crunchy cookie recipe that you will love.
You can store olive tapenade in the refrigerator for several weeks in an airtight container. If you want to extend the shelf life, you can cover it with olive oil. If you want to keep it longer, you can freeze it, but when spicy recipes are frozen and thawed, the flavor of the spice is not very good because the bitterness of the spice goes into the food. Just keep it in your mind
