Eggplant Beef Tirit Recipe Eggplant Beef Tirit Recipe


  • 600 g beef, chopped,
  • 3 tablespoons of oil,
  • 1  onion, chopped,
  • 1 green pepper, chopped,
  • 1 red pepper, chopped,
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped,
  • 3 cups of hot water,
  • 1 kg eggplant,
  • 6 heaping spoon of yogurt,
  • 1 clove of garlic,
  • Salt,
  • 1 loaf of stale bread.


  1. Heat preasurred cooker,
  2. Add into the beef and cook, constantly stirring, until it turns brownish,
  3. Add into the oil and onions, cook until tender,
  4. Add water, cover the lid and cook until the meat is softened according to the cooking time of your pot,
  5. Open the lid and add chopped green pepper, red pepper and tomatoes and cook until soft,
  6. Add the salt and stir and remove from the heat,
  7. While the meat is cooking, roast the eggplants,
  8. Peel the roasted eggplants and crush them with a knife or fork,
  9. Add yogurt, grated garlic and salt into it and mix well,
  10. Cut the bread into small cubes and place into a baking tray,
  11. Bake until golden in a 200 C degree pre-heated oven,
  12. Share the breads on serving plates,
  13. Top with first yogurt and eggplant mixture and then with the beef.
