Diet Pudding Recipe

As you can tell from this recipe, there’s really no limit to what you can make with avocado. So don’t think of it as a food that’s only suitable for sauces.
If you remember, we’ve used it before in a sweet recipe — the raspberry diet cookies.
Depending on the amount, it’s not exactly low in calories, but since it’s all natural, requires no cooking, is easy to prepare, and quite filling, this pudding makes a great snack option for anyone on a diet.
You can’t taste the avocado in the recipe. The dominant flavors are cocoa, with subtle hints of banana in the background.
There’s no substitute for avocado.
There’s no substitute for banana either. Don’t try to replace it with other fruits in search of different flavors. No other fruit has the same thick, creamy texture as banana. Using juicy fruits would turn the pudding into more of a milkshake or drink-like consistency.
You can use molasses instead of honey, but if it’s a flavored type, it may alter the taste. Don’t use sugar—it would take away from the natural quality of the recipe, in my opinion.
There’s no real alternative that gives the same result as cocoa. But if you don’t want a chocolate flavor, you can experiment with different aromas like cinnamon or carob powder (keeping in mind that it will increase the calorie count).
Using semi-skimmed or whole milk doesn’t make a difference other than in calories. If you can’t use milk due to allergies or other health reasons, you can replace it with plant-based alternatives such as coconut or almond milk.
