Creamy Chicken Pasta Recipe
This creamy chicken pasta recipe is a very easy recipe considering the taste it produces. The sauce is ready almost during the cooking time of the pasta. Thanks to chicken and cheese, it contains a significant amount of protein and thus keeps you full for a long time.
To prepare the pasta, first chop the chicken, add it to the pan and mix. Meanwhile, start to boil the pasta water. Once the pasta water boils and you add the pasta and let it simmer, you can simultaneously sautee the chicken and tomato paste, add the cream cheese and water and get the sauce ready.
I used paprika and thyme as spices, but as you know, spice is a personal thing. So, you can use the spices you like.
Which cheese can be used instead of cream cheese?
You can use any fresh, meltable cheese, such as cream cheese, labneh, cottage cheese and fatty Turkish white cheese. Unfortunately, cheddar and its derivative cheeses will not be suitable for this recipe. But if you wish, you can sprinkle it on the pasta while serving.
The biggest complaint about pasta recipes in general is that the pasta can be mushy. There is only one reason why pasta becomes mushy, and that is because the pasta is overcooked. To prevent your pasta from overcooking and turning mushy, you can use the cooking times on the pasta package as a basis.
When your pasta with sauce is ready, you can taste it and cook it some more if it is not soft enough for you. But if it becomes mushy, there is no turning back.

Creamy Chicken Pasta Recipe with Video
Ingredients
- 250 g of any type of pasta you want,
- 400 g chicken breast,
- 1 heaping tablespoon of tomato paste,
- 1 teaspoon of paprika,
- 1 heaping tablespoon of cream cheese,
- Water to boil the pasta,
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil,
- Salt to taste,
- 1 tsp of oregano,
- Parsley for topping.
Preparation
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan, add the diced chicken and cook over high heat, stirring constantly, until partly golden brown,
- Meanwhile, add the pasta to boiling salted water and simmer until it becomes soft,
- Add the tomato paste to the chicken and stir fry until its raw smell disappears,
- Add paprika and mix,
- Add cream cheese and 1.5 cups of the boiling pasta water and mix,
- Add salt and thyme and cook until it thickens,
- Add the sauce to the pasta and mix,
- Place on serving plates and sprinkle chopped parsley on top.
