Cool Lime Recipe
Cool lime was once one of Starbucks' favorite drinks. But I don't know why, it was discontinued in some countries. While leaving it should have said "I am going now but my name will remain, always remember me." that it was never forgotten. Some people even started change org campaigns for it. But I don't know if they succeeded or not.
I'm not a huge Starbucks fun. I don't follow the drinks they release or discontinue, but even I know about cool lime. It is a drink that left a mark.
While I was killing time on social media recently, I came across a cool lime recipe. It's not the recipe, but one of the comments caught my attention. Someone said, "I'm a former Starbucks employee. Starbucks uses white grape juice, not sugar, in its cold drinks. Try it that way if you want." I had no intention of making any cool limes, but I was overwhelmed with the desire to make cool lime just to test and share this information.
At the first opportunity, I bought limes and grape juice and tried the recipe according to my own taste with my own measurements. Indeed, grape juice added a different flavor and aroma than sugar. When you eat and drink something store bought, you get some flavors, but then there's something else, but you can't figure out what it is. The grape juice added such an aroma to cool lime.
I shared the second Starbucks recipe of this summer, after iced caramel macchiato . We are having a really hot summer this year. I thought maybe we could find a solution with cold drinks. Normally my favorite summer drink is primarily classic lemonade and dukan beer if I don't want something sugar free.
But after the cool lime recipe, a new drink has been added to this list. Cool lime has a sour and fresh flavor just the way I like it. Of course, how sour it will be is up to you. I like it to be so sour that I make a slight grimace when I drink it. The amount of grape juice in the recipe is also in this setting. If you like it more sweet, you can adjust the amount of grape juice according to your taste by tasting it.
Finally, there is one more thing I should mention. The original Starbucks recipe also includes green coffee powder. I didn't want to buy it just to make this recipe. That's why I skipped it. You can add it if you want to deal with it or if you want caffeine in your drink to sober you up. I haven't tried it, but I think matcha can be a good alternative to green coffee powder as well.
