Celery Bread Balls Recipe

Celery Bread Balls Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 mid-sized celery root,
  • 1 loaf of bread,
  • 1 egg,
  • 1 handful of finely chopped parsley,
  • Salt and pepper to taste,
  • 1 cup water,
  • Mozzarella ct into cubes for filling,
  • Sesame seeds for coating.

Preparation:

  1. Peel and cut the celery root into cubes,
  2. Boil the water in a pan and place a steam cooking basket and place celeries into the basket,
  3. Cook until tender,
  4. Chop the bread finely,
  5. Add 1/2 cup hot water with which you cooked celeries,
  6. Add celeries, egg, parsley, salt and pepper and knead,
  7. Set aside the mixture in the fridge for 30 mins,
  8. Make small balls of the mixture and put a mozzarella cube into each ball and roll,
  9. Coat the balls with sesame seeds and place into a baking pan covered with parchement paper,
  10. Bake in a 190 C degres pre-heated oven for 30-35 mins.
