Carrot And Celery Salad With Yoghurt Recipe
Celery salad had become very famous for a while, I think, with the effect of the tv show. But recently it has lost its popularity. But it is still one of the number one salads in my heart. I can't get enough of it, especially when it's made with carrots. Carrots both give a nice color and add a different flavor. It seems as if it supports the flavor of celery and brings it out even more.
Carrot and celery are one of the cornerstones of French cuisine. It has one more friend, though: onions. The trio of onions, carrots and celery is called mirepoix. It is generally used to flavor meat and chicken broths and dishes. It takes its name from the 18th century Duke of Mirepoix, Francois de Levis.
Of course, celery stalks are used in these recipes, not celery root. Celery root, on the other hand, is mostly used in recipes such as orange celery and celery salad in Turkish cuisine.
Not in meals, but when making chicken and broth, I also add celery stalks, onions and carrots. I also add potatoes. After draining the water, I serve vegetables with meat or chicken. Thus, I both cook and prepare homemade bouillons that I can keep in the freezer.
I conclude the article by saying what more would I want if there is a celery salad with rice and carrots along with this boiled dish.
