Eggplant Beef Tirit Recipe
Serving : 4 Servings
Ingredients
- 600 g beef, chopped,
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil,
- 1 onion, chopped,
- 1 green pepper, chopped,
- 1 red pepper, chopped,
- 2 tomatoes, chopped,
- 3 cups of hot water,
- 1 kg eggplant,
- 6 heaping spoon of yogurt,
- 1 clove of garlic,
- Salt,
- 1 loaf of stale bread.
Preparation
- Roast the eggplants on fire or in the oven until soft,
- Heat pressure cooker,
- Add into the beef and cook, constantly stirring, until it turns brownish,
- Add into the olive oil and onions, cook until tender,
- Add peppers and tomatoes and stir fry for a few minutes,
- Add water, cover the lid and cook until the meat is softened according to the cooking time of your pot,
- Add the salt and simmer until all water evaporates, then remove from heat,
- Peel the roasted eggplants and crush them with a knife or fork,
- Add yogurt, grated garlic and salt into it and mix well,
- Cut the bread into small cubes and place into a baking tray,
- Bake until crispy in a 200 C degree pre-heated oven,
- Share the breads on serving plates,
- Top with first yogurt and eggplant mixture and then with the beef.
