Pan Fried Swiss Chard Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. swiss chard,
  • 1 onion,
  • 1 carrot,
  • 2 coves garlic,
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste,
  • 2 teaspoons paprika,
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes,
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil,
  • 1 cup water,
  • Salt.

Preparation

  1. Finely chop the onion and the carrot,
  2. Add them in a large saucepan with the vegetable oil and cook on medium heat until tender,
  3. Add the tomato paste and stir for 1-2 mins,
  4. Add the paprika and the red pepper flakes and stir,
  5. Add the finely chopped chard and cook until soft and tender,
  6. Add the water,
  7. Bring to a boil and cook on low heat until the carrots are fully cooked,
  8. Add the salt, stir and remove from heat.
