Sauteed Swiss Chard With Chickpeas with Video

Ingredients
- 1 onion, chopped,
- 700 g swiss chard, stalks removed and chopped,
- 1 carrot,
- 1 cup canned chickpeas,
- 1 red pepper, julienned,
- 1 tomato, diced,
- 2 tbsps vegetable oil,
- 1 tbsp tomato paste,
- 3 tsps chilli pepper,
- Salt to taste,
- 2 cups boiling water.
Preparation
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan,
- Add onion and sautee until tender,
- Add chopped carrot and sautee for 1 min.,
- Add tomato paste and cook stirring for another few mins.,
- Add chilli pepper and tomato and cook for 2 mins.,
- Add swiss chard and chopped red pepper and sautee until tender,
- Add water and chickpeas,
- Cover the lid and cook until set in low heat.
