Gluten Free Apple Oat Crumble

Crumble is a dessert from British cuisine, prepared by baking fruit topped with a crumbly mixture made of butter, flour, and sugar. The bottom layer is soft and juicy fruit, while the top has a sweet, crunchy texture. The most common versions are apple, mixed berries, and peach. It is often served warm and accompanied by ice cream or custard.
In this version, I wanted to prepare the crumble with oats and make it gluten-free. Normally, when I make apple crumble, I rub the ingredients together by hand. In this recipe, since I also needed to grind the oats finer, I processed everything in a food processor, making the recipe much more practical.
As mentioned above, crumble can be made with different fruits. For example, I have previously shared recipes for quince crumble, strawberry crumble, and apricot–black mulberry crumble. You can also make this recipe with any fruits you like.
It is already a very easy recipe, but if you want to make it even more practical, you can prepare the crumble topping in advance and store it in the refrigerator or freezer. Then, whenever you crave something sweet, you can simply place the fruit into individual ramekins, add the topping, and bake.
