Avocado and Cheese Spread Recipe

If you only use avocados to make guacamole, this recipe might change your mind. The creamy texture of avocado comes together with the salty, tangy flavor of feta cheese, the earthy taste of walnuts, and the fresh aroma of thyme to create a delicious spread that is incredibly easy to make.
There is no need for lengthy preparation, either. Simply put all the ingredients in a food processor and blend. Since the ingredients are easy to process, your delicious spread will be ready in about a minute, with a perfect consistency for spreading on bread.
You can serve this avocado and feta spread on bread for breakfast. It pairs especially well with toasted sourdough bread and waffles. You can also serve it as a dip with crackers, breadsticks, or sliced fresh vegetables. For a more elegant presentation at a meze table, transfer the spread to a serving plate, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with coarsely chopped walnuts, as shown in the photos.
Since feta cheese is already salty, I didn't add any extra salt to the recipe. If your cheese is mild in saltiness, you can add a little salt to taste. I also prefer drizzling the olive oil over the spread just before serving rather than mixing it in, as I do when making guacamole. This creates a more attractive presentation and allows the olive oil's flavor to stand out.
The size of the avocado can affect the consistency of the spread. I used an avocado weighing approximately 300 g. If you use a smaller one, you can slightly reduce the amounts of feta and walnuts to achieve the right consistency.
Enjoy!
