Ankara Tava (Ankara Casserole) Recipe

Ingredients
- 500 gr meat on the bone,
- 1 cup vermicelli (of any shape),
- 3 green peppers, chopped,
- 2 tomatoes, peeled and chopped,
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced,
- 1/2 tbsp tomato paste,
- 1 tbsp butter,
- Salt and pepper to taste,
- 2,5 cups boiling water,
- Extra water to cook meat.
Preparation
- Place meat in a pressure cooker,
- Add some water and cook until tender,
- In a large pan melt butter,
- Add pepper and garlic, cook for 2-3 mins.,
- Add vermicelli and cook until golden,
- Add tomato paste and stir,
- Add tomatoes and cook for 5 mins.,
- Add meat, 2,5 cups water, salt and pepper and cook until vermicellis are done.
