  • 1 kg fresh peas (not hulled),
  • 1 onion, chopped,
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 2 potatos, chopped,
  • 4 tbsps vegetable oil,
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste,
  • 1 tsp chilli powder,
  • Salt to taste,
  • 3 cups boiling water.


  1. Heat vegetable oil, add in the onions and half-cook,
  2. Add carrots and potatos, stir well,
  3. Cover the lid and cook, stirring intervally, until half-cooked,
  4. Meanwhile hull the peas,
  5. Add the tomato paste into the casserole and cook, constantly stirring for a few mins.,
  6. Add chilli powder and stir well,
  7. Add in peas and water, stir,
  8. Cover the lid and cook in low heat until the peas are tender,
  9. Add salt and remove from heat.
