Pea and Rice Soup Recipe
Serving : 6 Servings
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup rice,
- 1 cup cooked canned peas,
- 2 green peppers,
- 2 tomatoes,
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste,
- 1 tablespoon flour,
- 2 teaspoons paprika,
- 1 tablespoon butter,
- Salt,
- Dried mint,
- 5 cups water.
Preparation
- Melt the butter and sauté the finely chopped peppers until softened,
- Add the tomato paste and stir for 2 mins,
- Add the paprika and flour and stir for 1-2 mins,
- Add the grated tomatoes and cook until softened,
- Finally add the water and rice and cook on low heat until the rice is fully cooked,
- Add the peas and boil for 2-3 more mins,
- Add salt and dried mint, stir and remove from heat.
