Orange Sauce Panna Cotta Recipe
Serving : 4 servings
Ingredients
- 200 gr. heavy cream,
- 2 cups milk,
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar,
- 1.5 tablespoons gelatin powder or 2 gelatin leaves
For the sauce;
- 1 orange,
- 1 tablespoon sugar,
- 1 teaspoon starch,
- 1/4 cup water.
Preparation
- Mix together the gelatin and milk in a pan,
- Put the pan on low heat and stir until the gelatin melts, then remove from heat,
- In a separate bowl, combine the sugar and heavy cream,
- Stir on medium heat until the sugar melts,
- Add the milk mixture to the cream and mix well,
- Pour the mixture into moistened ramekins and refrigerate for at least 2 hours,
- Run your knife around the ramekins to loosen the custard up, before inverting it on a dessert plate,
- For the sauce, cut the orange into small cubes and place in a saucepan,
- Cook on low heat until it releases all of its water,
- Add the sugar, mix and blend,
- Add the starch to the water and mix well until all the starch dissolves,
- Add the starchy water to the orange and stir,
- Cook on medium heat until it thickens,
- Let it cool completely before serving with panna cotta custard.
