Orange Sauce Panna Cotta Recipe Orange Sauce Panna Cotta Recipe


  • 200 gr. heavy cream,
  • 2 cups milk,
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar,
  • 1.5 tablespoons gelatin powder or 2 gelatin leaves

For the sauce;

  • 1 orange,
  • 1 tablespoon sugar,
  • 1 teaspoon starch,
  • 1/4 cup water.


  1. Mix together the gelatin and milk in a pan,
  2. Put the pan on low heat and stir until the gelatin melts, then remove from heat,
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the sugar and heavy cream,
  4. Stir on medium heat until the sugar melts,
  5. Add the milk mixture to the cream and mix well,
  6. Pour the mixture into moistened ramekins and refrigerate for at least 2 hours,
  7. Run your knife around the ramekins to loosen the custard up, before inverting it on a dessert plate,
  8. For the sauce, cut the orange into small cubes and place in a saucepan,
  9. Cook on low heat until it releases all of its water,
  10. Add the sugar, mix and blend,
  11. Add the starch to the water and mix well until all the starch dissolves,
  12. Add the starchy water to the orange and stir,
  13. Cook on medium heat until it thickens,
  14. Let it cool completely before serving with panna cotta custard.
