Dubai Chocolate Recipe
So far, I have not tried many recipes that have become famous on social media. I was curious and tried some, but none of them were because I was craving something I hadn't eaten before. The moment I first saw künefe chocolate, I started craving it as if it was something I loved very much and had not been eating for a long time.
Kunefe chocolate is one of the special chocolates of a Dubai-based chocolatier. It gained considerable fame with its eye-catching videos on social media and videos taken by social media users. Then copies appeared in Turkey. But since I don't have the means to buy this chocolate from either Dubai or Turkey, I rolled up my sleeves and made it myself at home. Since I used very good chocolate and pistachio paste with clean ingredients, I don't know if it is more delicious than the one sold in Dubai, but it is of the best quality. I have no point of comparison, but the taste that I got regardless of comparison was tremendous.
I think everyone is aware of the Turks' weakness for pistachios and chocolate with pistachios. This künefe chocolate feeds this weakness in the best way possible. Both the combination of pistachios and chocolate and the crunchiness of kadayıf take künefe chocolate to a whole new level.
Chocolate takes its name from the künefe dessert. But in my opinion, it would be more appropriate if it were baklava chocolate. In my opinion, the ingredient that defines künefe is cheese, not pistachios. On the other hand, when you think of pistachio baklava, your first association is pistachio. Anyway, the name is not that important anyway, as long as it is delicious.
I bought a chocolate mold to make the chocolate close to the original, but since the mold was not deep, the pistachio filling was not as abundant as I wanted. It would be more effective if I prepared it in small muffin molds as filled chocolate. If you don't have a chocolate mold on hand, you can use silicone muffin molds or paper muffin molds.
For chocolate, I used 70% dark chocolate and 30% milk chocolate. You can also use any kind of chocolate you want.
You can melt the chocolate in the microwave or bain marie method. Melting at too high a temperature will cause the chocolate to burn and destroy its structure. Before using the chocolate, wait for a while at room temperature and make sure that the first heat comes out. In this way, there will be no sudden temperature change when it enters the refrigerator and the chocolate will set without losing its beautiful color.
