Flourless Cake Recipe
1 slice of baklava is between 100-150 calories. In order to burn the calories of 1 slice of baklava eaten, it is necessary to walk for about 1 hour. More importantly, the harms of sugar to our body;
- Consuming too much sugar raises blood sugar too quickly and the pancreas secretes excess insulin. Insulin, glucose than storing fat after leveling.
- It causes tooth decay, obesity, diabetes, heart and circulatory diseases, kidney stones, cancer, hypertension, stroke, ulcer, asthma, rheumatism, chronic fatigue syndrome and osteoporosis.
- Sugar, which is carried to all parts of the body by blood circulation, collects especially in the belly, hips, breasts and upper legs. When these areas are filled, the fatty acids are distributed to active organs such as the heart and kidneys. These organs gradually slow down and eventually their tissues deteriorate and turn into fat.

So long story short choose low sugar milk or chocolate desserts instead of heavy sherbet desserts :) For example, this flourless cake that I have given the recipe for is an example. Don't you think that a thin slice of fondant to serve with black coffee instead of a plate of baklava would be much more desirable?

Flourless Cake Recipe with Video
Ingredients
- 200 g of bitter chocolate,
- 150 g of butter,
- 4 eggs,
- 1 cup of ground hazelnuts,
- 1 tbsp of sugar,
- 1 heaping spoon of cocoa powder,
- Butter to grease the pan,
- Powdered sugar for the top.
Preparation
- Melt the chocolate and butter using bain marie method,
- Remove from heat and let cool,
- In a different bowl beat the eggs with sugar,
- Add into the cocoa powder and beat again,
- Add the finely ground hazelnuts and stir,
- Grease a 21 cm springform pan with butter,
- Place a round parchment paper on the bottom and grease the top of the parchment as well,
- Pour the batter into the pan,
- Bake in a 190 degrees celsius preheated oven for 30 mins,
- Remove from the oven and let it sit for 10 mins,
- Using a spatula or a knife loosen the sides of the cake, and invert the cake onto a serving platter,
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
