Chicken Drumsticks Covered in Puff Dough
Ingredients
- 8 chicken drumsticks,
- 4 cups of water at room temperature,
- 1/2 tsp black pepper,
- 2 bay leaves,
- Salt to taste,
- 8 square puff pastry leaves,
- 1 egg yolk,
- Poppy seeds for topping.
Preparation
- Take the puff pastries out of the refrigirator and set aside in the fridge,
- Meanwhile put drumsticks in a pressured cooker,
- Add water, black pepper, salt and bay leaves,
- Cover the lid and cook until the drumsticks softened,
- Drain the drumsticks and set aside until cool enough to handle,
- Remove the puff pastries from the fridge and roll to extend 2 cm from each side,
- Remove the skin and cartilage parts of the drumsticks,
- Put the drumstick onto the puff pastries and wrap well,
- Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle poppyseeds,
- Place into a baking pan covered with parchement paper,
- Bake in a 180 C degrees pre-heated oven until golden.
