Vegan Curd Cheese Recipe
Vegan cheese recipe videos are one of my favorite types of social media videos. There are so many vegan cheese recipes that you can spend your whole evening watching different vegan cheese recipe videos. But usually, either the preparation steps are too long or when you see the resulting product, you give reactions like "Well, this isn't cheese, it's mashed potatoes." There are some amazing creamy cheeses out there, I can't deny that. But to access the recipe, you usually have to buy their books. There's no such thing as "easy as pie" in the vegan world, in short. You're always expected to compromise on something.
I must have written about this before. One of the main things I avoid when creating vegan recipes is this. No one should be condemned to less quality, less creamy, less tasty food just because of their dietary choices in my opinion. Actually, one of the main reasons I started creating vegan recipes was this. One of my first recipes was a vegan mozzarella recipe, for example. When the result surpassed my expectations, I got quite excited that maybe I can pull this off. Then I started experimenting with vegan yogurt and realized that this isn't easy at all. I was a bit discouraged at first, but then I bought a few different vegan yogurts from the market and tried them, which lifted my spirits a bit. Apparently, this is as good as it gets; if there was something better, these companies would have done it with all their R&D efforts, I thought, and I moved on to make the best of what I could do and moved on to different recipes. But my mind is still set on finding the perfect vegan yogurt.
Until that day, I will continue to share beautiful vegan alternatives to other recipes. Vegan curd cheese is my second vegan cheese recipe. One day, while watching vegan cheese recipes, I noticed that almost all of them were trying to make melt-able cheeses. Yes, in foreign countries, such cheeses are mostly needed for cooking recipes. However, the situation is different in Turkish cuisine. We need curd cheese for börek, poğaça and all kinds of pastries. That's why I created this recipe. Of course, it's not only suitable for pastries. You can also use it for breakfast or snack recipes, just as you see in the photo. It's both creamy and very tasty cheese. It only takes a few minutes to prepare and can be used right away.
