Fluffy Vegan Omelette Recipe
I proudly present the best vegan omelette in the world. Most of the vegan omelettes you can find on the internet are made with chickpea flour and have a high carbohydrate content and a kind of bread consistency rather than an omelet consistency. If you don't use tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, etc. , it's a basically a bread.
I have expressed this discomfort before in the recipe for vegan omelette with cornmeal. In my opinion, it is one of the indispensable conditions for something to be wet in order to be able to call it an omelette. By wet consistency I don't mean the consistency of uncooked dough. I'm talking about the wet consistency of the scrambled eggs you know. Of course, the issue of taste should not be overlooked. It can't call an omelette an omelette with the perfect consistency but obviously the flavor of another food.
It is not expected that the taste will be exactly like the original in vegan alternatives, but at least it should have a unique and acceptable taste. This omelette has that flavor too. It doesn't smell like eggs, but it has such a flavor that if you put it in front of someone who doesn't know that it's vegan and who is careless, they may not realize that it is vegan.
As filling you can use sautéed veggies as well as vegan cheese. If you want to use vegan cheese, you can use store bought cheese or you can use vegan mozzarella that you have made yourself.
For the best result, I recommend not looking for alternatives to ingredients other than cheese.
Nutritional yeast is not baker's yeast, it is a separate ingredient. You can easily find it in online shopping sites. Psyllium husk is a natural product. You can also buy it from online shopping sites.
