- 1 cup sugar,
- 1 cup boiling water,
- 1 tbsp butter,
- 1 cup heavy cream.
- In a large pan melt butter and sugar together,
- Stirring off and on, cook until it gets a dark brown colour,
- Add boiling water and cream and stir fast (sugar can harden at this point, don’t bother),
- Keep stirring and cook until sugar melts again,
- Cook until desired consistency,
- Transfer into a jar and keep at room temperature.
